Very much supporting my previous comments about, a blog on the IPSOS-MORI site reports that “British people are more likely to trust public sector healthcare providers than other groups to use their data responsibly. Two in five (41%) say they would trust public sector healthcare providers to do so, while a third (34%) would trust banks, 28% would trust private healthcare providers and 17% would trust insurance companies13. They are also supportive of data being used for medical reasons. Almost nine in ten (88%) say they would support the use of personal data to create a DNA database of cancer patients, in order to help develop more effective treatments for cancer”.
