“Thank you! You’ve spent money in the right places and got the charity back on its feet. Thanks from the bottom of my heart for your work, dedication and commitment”

Interim CEO at Beating Bowel Cancer (now Bowel Cancer UK)

“You joined an organisation which faced some real challenges. Your important part, first as Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Services and then Interim Chief Executive, in ensuring that the charity met those challenges and steering us towards what we are all sure will the best outcome for those whom we exist to help is something for which we are very grateful. The good relationship between CEO and Chair of trustees which has existed between us was not only beneficial to Beating Bowel Cancer but a great personal pleasure for me.”
Sir Christopher Pitchers
Chair

Chair of the Expert Advisory Committee (EAC) at NHS Digital (Summary Care Records)

“I have really enjoyed working with Judith over the last four years, during which she has chaired the Expert Advisory Committee (EAC) for the National Summary Care Record Programme of NHS Digital. Judith has been an extremely able and skilled chair of committee comprising a dynamic group of high-level representatives of national professional- and patient-representative organisations. Judith very quickly grasped the complexities involved in implementing and operating this national digital clinical information-sharing system. She quickly ensured that she was fully appraised of the nature of professional and patient concerns about issues of confidentiality, data protection, technical safeguards, legal liabilities and variable public confidence in government data-sharing initiatives. Judith always prepares fully for meetings of the EAC. At the meetings, she displays impressive communication and leadership skills, encouraging contributions by all members of the EAC to discussion and debate whilst at the same time imposing a discipline which ensured that discussion is structured and all agenda items receive appropriate attention. Thanks to Judith’s exemplary chairing, the EAC has been an effective and influential group, providing sound advice and guidance and contributing to the continuing success of Summary Care Records as an effective tool for patient safety and quality of care. ” [Feb 2018]
