Interim leadership

Do you need someone to “hold the fort” while you recruit? Has the CEO left suddenly? Do you need someone to lead change prior to a permanent solution? There are many reasons why an interim leader may make sense.

Interim leadership is a particular skill – you need to work closely with the Board, and prioritise and focus your time as interim. You need to be able to identify the key deliverables and move them forward while ensuring you prepare the ground for the permanent CEO/postholder.

Strategy, change and culture

Does your organisation need change – perhaps a new strategy? Culture change? A new approach to engaging with key stakeholders

  • Develop and deliver new strategies for charities
  • Design strategy processes, engaging key stakeholders and commissioning research
  • Deliver culture change, working with you, to ensure staff morale is maintained as far as possible
  • Advise on brand development linked to strategic change.

Funding and finances

So many questions about funding and finances! How can you achieve a sustainable business model? Do you need to review and strengthen your income portfolio? Is it time to diversify? How do you manage cost reduction and maintain motivation? Should you be considering merger?

Here’s what we do:

  • Advise on your overall business model – opportunities and risks
  • Advise on how to respond to financial challenges eg funding shortfall, unmanaged expenditure
  • Advise on your income portfolio including which sources of income are most suited to your organisation, and which are unlikely to work for you
  • Develop your capacity to be more commercial in your activities, so that you can generate more fee income from selling products and/or services.

Patient, service user and public engagement in health

Are you wondering how best to involve patients, service users, citizens in your work? You know how important this is but are unsure where or how to start?

Here’s what we do:

  • Advise on or develop your strategy for involving patients, carers, citizens in your work
  • Review your current approach and make recommendations to take it further
  • Support implementation of patient, carer and public engagement
